Earthing for babies - how to stop teething pain in it's tracks
Bodhi, our eight month old baby boy cut his first two teeth a couple of days ago and today he was downright miserable. Ruddy cheeks, dribbling profusely and very grisly all day. I tried homeopathics, cuddles, cold teething rings all with very limited success. In the end I took him to the park and put him on the grass. We played there for 45 minutes and he did not complain once. It was like I was with a different boy. I took him back in the car and inside and the whining and crying began again so I took him out into the back garden, put him on the grass and like magic he was happy again. I repeated this 5 times during the course of the day and got the same result every time!
Another observation is that despite his teething pain, Bodhi is sleeping between 9 - 11 hours at a stretch. He is sharing my bed and I can't help but wonder if my fitted Earthing Sheet is helping him through the night. I am tempted to unplug the sheet for a little while and see what happens. Babies seem to be particularly sensitive to the anti-inflammatory and calming energy of the Earth. It certainly seems to have made Bodhi's life (and my own) much more enjoyable through a potentially difficult time.
