3-Axis RF Meter for EMF Monitoring

This 3- Axis RF meter is a great tool for finding radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic fields (also known as electro-smog or pollution) in your environment.

Sources of radio frequencies include mobile phones mobile phone towers / masts, tablets, Wi-Fi routers and devices, Bluetooth, cordless phones, smart meters, baby monitors, communication towers, etc, with many new devices coming on to the market all the time.

This EMF/RF Field Strength Meter is for monitoring high frequency radiation with 50MHz to 3.50GHz measuring range is designed to measure the electromagnetic field value of the Radio Frequency. It can do a non-directional (isotropic) measurement with three-channel measurement sensor. The non-directional electric field and high sensitivity also allow measurements of electric field in TEM cell and absorber rooms. It's highly dynamic with its three-channel digital results processing, and is calibrated precisely on 50MHz to 3.50GHz frequency value.

It has configurable alarm threshold, memory function, overload & low battery indication and an adjustable auto power off and memory recall functions. With user-friendly interface that makes it easy and safe to operate. Instantaneous value, maximum value measured or average value can also be set to show on screen.

Exposure Standards for Radio Frequencies

For radio frequenices between 3KHz and 300GHz many countries including Australia have adopted standards set by the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation (ICNIRP) which have been endorsed by WHO. Here are the exposure guidelines set by ICNIRP and adopted by ARPANSA (Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency)

Instructions

Quick start instructions for using this meter – (Detailed instructions from the manufacturer also included in the meters box):

Insert 9V battery (included in box) by opening the panel at the rear of the meter.
The accepted measurement for RF in Australia is W/m2 so once you have turned your meter on (green button) push the “Unit Enter” button twice so you are in W/m2 mode.

The meter will auto-range to whatever level of RF is being detected. For instance:

W/m2 indicates you are measuring in Watts per square meter
mW/m2 indicates you are measuring in milli-watts per square meter (1000^th of a watt)
μ W/m2 indicates you are measuring in micro-watts per square meter (1000 000^th of a watt)
