AirTube Headsets Troubleshooting Guide
Why can I only hear sound in one ear when using my AirTube headset?
There could be a few reasons why you can only hear sound in one ear when using your new AirTube headset. It could be linked to the settings on your device. Before looking to replace your headsets, please check the following to rule out the possibility that the problem is caused by your phone, laptop or PC.
1. Try a headset you know works. The first step is to try a headset you know works properly with the device. If that headset has sound in both ears, then you know the problem might lie with the AirTube headset and not with your device. If, however, the second headset also only has sound in one ear then you know there might be a settings issue with your device. Alternatively, try your AirTube headsets in a couple of different devices to see if the problem occurs with every device. The key is to determine whether it is a headset issue or a device issue.
2. Restart the device. Another simple fix might be to restart your device (be it a phone, laptop or PC). This could be especially effective if the problem occurs immediately after a software update. Power the device off and back on again, then try your AirTube headset to see if it fixes the issue.
3. Check the settings. Your AirTube headset may play only in one ear depending on the audio settings of your device. Check your audio properties and make sure that the mono option is turned off. In addition, within the audio/sound settings, ensure that levels are balanced on both earbuds. The voice levels must be equal on both sides of your headset.
Please consult the device's manual to find out how to access and adjust the audio settings.
4. Clean the headphone port. We take our phones everywhere and, over time, lint and dirt can become trapped in the headphone port which can cause a loose connection between the port and the jack, affecting the audio output. Gently remove any built-up lint or dirt from the port and try using your AirTube headset again.

Why can't I hear anything when using my AirTube headset?

2. Check the volume control. Ensure that the volume control on both the AirTube headset and the device is turned up and not set to mute.
3. Check the adaptor. All of the AirTube headsets available to purchase from Earthing Oz are fitted with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. For many iPhone and Samsung devices, you will be required to purchase (separately) an adaptor cable to connect the AirTube headset to your phone. Please consult your phone's manual to discover which type of adaptor cable you need. It is recommend to purchase an official, branded adaptor for best performance of your AirTube headsets. Some of the imitation adaptors do not establish a successful connection which will mean you won't be able to hear anything from your AirTube headset.

Why does my AirTube headset have a loose connection?
AirTube headsets are a fantastic way to help you to significantly reduce your exposure to electromagnetic radiation (EMR). However, in order to be able to do this they have to, by design, be constructed differently to a standard wired headset. Rather than one continuous, unbroken, cable, AirTube headsets are constructed in two sections.
The first section, leading from the phone to the speaker, is wired. The second section, leading from the speaker to the ear, is a hollow tube of air. This gives the distance required between the source of EMR and the head to dramatically reduce exposure to EMR. As a result, AirTube headsets are inherently more fragile than wired headsets and should be treated with extra care when handling.
Please ensure that when extracting from bags, drawers, pockets etc, you don't pull too hard at the headset as this will cause it to break and come apart. The headset is supplied with a case or pouch and it is strongly advised that it is kept inside the case/pouch when not in use. Ensure that your AirTube headset remains free from tangles and always handle with extra care to extend the life of the headset and to not void your warranty.

Why do the ear buds of my AirTube headset keep falling out of my ears?
Each AirTube headset available to purchase from Earthing Oz is supplied with three different-sized ear buds to fit the majority of people. It is recommended to try all three sizes to see which fits you best. If the problem persists, you could try the following:
