Why Should I Use a BioLight™?
The BioLight Downlight is intended to be used in place of a standard LED or Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb (CFL) in your home or workplace. Standard lighting emits a large amount of light in the blue spectrum. Constant exposure to too much blue light can cause eye strain, fatigue, headaches and, when exposed to blue light at night, it can affect our body's ability to produce the hormone melatonin which we need to help us sleep.
Not all blue light is bad. We are exposed to natural blue light from the sun, but the difference between natural blue light and the artificial blue light emitted from devices and conventional lighting, is that natural light is always delivered as part of the full spectrum and is balanced out by a proportionately large amount of infrared, red, yellow, orange, and UV wavelengths.
How Does the BioLight™ Work?
The BioLight™ offers full spectrum lighting, replicating the visible light of the sun to promote positive mood, stable energy, and a sense of wellbeing. The BioLight™ has three lighting modes, which can be changed at different times of the day to deliver optimal lighting all day long.
The BioLight™ is low EMF and flicker-free.
When is Each Light Mode Most beneficial?
Full Spectrum Day Mode - This is the most optimal mode for use during the day. It provides full spectrum white light that replicates the sun's beneficial visible light, containing healthy amounts of blue, green, yellow, orange, and red light.
Low Blue Mixed Mode - This low blue light option provides a warm light that replicates light from the sun at either early morning or early evening. It replicates the optimal light to be exposed to at these times, with the same visible spectrum as incandescent lights.
No Blue Night Mode - 100% no blue light. As the sun sets, the night lighting mode provides a warm relaxing ambience. It gives out an amber light to provide a more relaxing, peaceful ambiance to transition the body and brain for a deep and resful sleep.
