Earthing basics for Wellbeing

Our modern lifestyles have seen the introduction of some helpful technologies. However our bodies were created to be in touch with the Earth more regularly than our indoor or digital environments can sometimes allow. We all feel our primal need for a connection with nature and, now more than ever, it’s our health that is calling for a break from busy lives to connect with Mother Earth and enjoy the simpler things in life.

When our body is in contact with the conductive surface of the Earth, we are connecting to Earth’s natural and powerful healing energy. This experience is called ‘earthing’, or ‘grounding’. It is a well-recognised practice which supports and nurtures our health to help improve sleep, reduce inflammation and pain, relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, lower stress and increase energy.

The Earth donates a continuous, renewed and limitless supply of free electrons – the negatively-charged electrons we need to foster health and wellbeing. We can connect with these free electrons through direct contact with the Earth’s surface by walking barefoot outside, or sitting, working, or sleeping indoors whilst connected to conductive grounding systems.
