What Are Earth Runners Grounded Conductive Laces™?

An integral part of all Earth Runners Grounded Minimalist Sandals, the conductive laces feature two parallel statiches of conductive stainless steel thread up the entire length of the lace and are secured to the bottom of the sandals with a copper plug to keep you grounded. 

The foot's contact with the stainless steel thread on the bottom of the lace allows for efficient electron flow between the skin and the Earth via the conductive thread and copper plug circuit. 

Why Do I Need Spare Laces?

We have made these extra laces available for people who may wish to swap the laces for a different colour or for people who would like to keep a spare pair of laces for their Earth Runners Sandals. Please note that we do not change the laces for you.  This instructional video shows you how to re-lace your Earth Runners. 

If the laces are to long, you may need to trim them down to your preferred length. 

What is the Difference Between Lifestyle and Performance Laces? 

• Performance laces offer more security and longevity and feature a 1/2" hydrophobic polyester webbing that is wrapped in a highly abrasion-resistant Mil-Spec nylon resulting in a 9/16" (15mm wide lace) 
• Lifestyle laces offer maximum comfort and flexibility and come in two different types:
  • Classic Lifestyle:  Balanced pliable/secure lace construction with 5/8”or 1/2" Mil-Spec Reinforced Two-Ply Webbing. Available in colours Charcoal (5/8"), Grey and Tribal (1/2").  The grey and tribal laces are best suited for smaller feet.    
  • Ergonomic Lifestyle: Most Pliable Lace construction with 9/16” Double Tubular Webbing™. Ergonomic Lifestyle laces available in White, Carbon Black, Sunset and Canyon Clay.

Please note: The Performance and Classic Lifestyle Grounded Conductive Laces contain a trace amount of latex which may not be suitable for those who are highly allergic. The Ergonomic Lifestyle Grounded Conductive Laces are 100% latex free.
