Care Instructions

We recommend gentle hand washing with use of a neutral detergent or hand soap. Do not use acidic or alkaline laundry detergent during the cleaning process in order to protect the integrity of the shielding material. After cleaning, we recommend hang drying the DefenderShield® EMF Radiation Protection Blanket in a cool, ventilated place to dry naturally, out of direct sunlight.

We do not recommend the use of a washing machine or dryer as a high level of agitation in a washing machine can potentially break down the shielding material.

Customers have also used a light throw over top of the EMF protection blanket to avoid the necessity of washing (this will not affect the shielding capacity).

The shielding is primarily comprised of precious metals and should last the lifetime of the outer layer of organic bamboo and cotton fabrics.
