How is my device held in place?

The iPad/iPad Mini cases have an inner pouch that the iPad slides into and is secured by a hidden velcro lock. The large and small universal Tablet cases having locking clips Fwhich your device easily snaps in and out of.

Why is the shielding material only in the front flap?

The shielding technology is incorporated into the front flap as to provide protection in the direction of your body while still allowing signal to enter and exit the tablet through the back panel. If it was shielded on the sides and back, the tablet would no longer be able to send and receive signal. The flap can be folded behind the tablet to shield the back of the device while in use.

Do you need a flap?

Incorporating the shielding technology into the front flap provides a radiation barrier between you and your tablet. We believe a flap to be the most effective means of providing true protection from all types of EMR radiation.

Can I use a tri-field meter to measure the radiation from my tablet like you would with a laptop?

It is not possible to accurately measure tablet radiation and reductions outside of a controlled laboratory setting with highly specialized equipment. While some competitors may show tests that seem to show reductions, these tests are often not repeatable and are only possible with certain devices. All SafeSleeve cases have an independent, FCC accredited lab testing on the shielding technology and the results are impressive.
