Lay the undersheet
Conductive area in the middle of your mattress, 50 cm tuck under each side.

Connect the cord
Press the cord stud onto the connection stud on the sheet. Plug into the earth pin of any AU outlet.

Use the included continuity tester. One end on the sheet, the other in your hand. A clear indicator confirms the path is live.

Put your regular fitted sheet on top. Sleep as normal.

Looking after your Earthing Stainless Steel Underlay is simple.
Here’s how to keep your underlay in top condition:
- Wash as needed in warm water (40°C / 105°F).
- Use a gentle liquid detergent (never bleach, softeners, or oil-based detergents).
- Line dry naturally, or tumble dry on low heat (up to 65°C / 150°F).
- Iron on low if desired.

No. The undersheet sits beneath your fitted sheet. Body weight and natural skin moisture carry the conductive path through organic cotton, linen, or Tencel.
Yes. Place the sheet widthways across the mattress, under the torso area. Both sleepers will be in contact with the conductive surface through the fitted sheet.
The sheet contains stainless steel, which contains nickel. Sleeping on top of an cotton fitted sheet is fine for almost everyone, because there is no direct skin contact. If you have a known nickel allergy and want a sheet you can sleep directly on, our silver-thread range is the better choice (silver does not contain nickel). Speak to us and we will help you find the right fit.
The Stainless Steel Underlay ships with a continuity tester. It confirms the full earthing path (sheet, cord, outlet) is conducting properly. Place one end on the sheet, hold the other in your hand, and the indicator lights up if the circuit is live. Keep in mind the thickness of the sheet can impact conductivity in all stainless steel underlay products.
Stainless steel does not oxidise, so the conductive material holds across the full life of the fabric. With normal use and washing, that means several years. We back it with a 3-year Earthing Oz conductivity warranty.
Silver conducts beautifully and is the most comfortable sleep solution in our opinion. However, the silver oxidises over time. Stainless steel does not. Silver-thread sheets are designed for direct skin contact, with a higher conductivity at the body. Stainless steel underlays are designed to sit under your fitted sheet for a longer life with minimal care. Please ensure you're getting the benefits though your sheet by using the continuity tester for peace of mind.
