Do I need to be touching the Earthing Sheet with bare skin for it to work properly?

While it is not essential to have bare skin against the sheet it is preferable. Why? You will still be Earthed if there is a layer of clothing between you and the sheet as your body will build up heat and moisture. However the effectiveness will vary depending on factors such as the thickness of the clothes/sheets, try to use cotton. For maximum grounding bare skin usually works best. However Wearables Grounding Socks can be used to keep feet warm in winter as well as bring extra circulation and support to this area as they are made of conductive material.

The skirt on the fitted sheets is approximately 35cm so they can fit over a fairly thick mattress.

The Organic Cotton Earthing Fitted Sheets contains between 0.5 to 1 km of silver, depending on the size. The colour is 100% natural organic cotton (off-white) and the sheets have a connection stud at the edge where the connection cord fits. One end of the grounding cord snaps onto the sheet and the other end connects into an electrical outlet or to the earthing grounding rod system.

Placing your body on the sheet grounds you to the earth during sleep helping you to fall asleep faster, sleep more deeply and wake fewer times during the night by increasing your levels of melatonin while reducing your levels of cortisol.

Care Instructions

It is good to wash your Earthing product. It will not be harmed by washing, in fact it is beneficial. Washing strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver keeping it conductive.

Do

  • Wash every week or two
  • Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C / 105°F)
  • Use a safe liquid laundry detergent
  • Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C / 150°F)
  • Can be ironed on a low heat if desired

Don't

  • Don't wash with bleach
  • Don't wash with fabric softeners
  • Don't use whitening detergents, oxi-detergents OR detergents with oils like lavender or coconut oil
  • Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners
  • Don't dry clean

Bleach, lotions and oils can tarnish the silver rendering it non conductive. Fabric softener builds up on the silver and also ruins its conductive properties. It is advised to wait at least one hour to use the product after applying lotion to the skin.

Recommended

A Power Outlet Tester should be used to verify that your electrical outlet is wired properly for grounding. Simply plug it into an outlet, turn on the power and 3 amber lights will read that your outlet is grounded and ready for use with an Earthing Product.

In Case of Lightning

Although it is highly unlikely that you will be hit by lightning, it is recommended to follow standard lightning safety guidelines as directed by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology and disconnect your Earthing devices (along with electrical devices) during lightning and thunderstorms.

We offer a one year repair or replace warranty on our genuine earthing products, which covers any defects that may inhibit your products from earthing effectively.

This warranty does not cover cosmetic imperfections that may appear after normal use and washing, that do not affect the product’s earthing effectiveness. The products must be used and cared for in accordance with the care instructions we include with all earthing products.
